A Royal Tablescape

A table fit for royalty is appropriate every yom tov, but I think for Rosh Hashana especially. The king is in the field, and we’re ready to greet him with open arms and affection.

For this one it’s all about those beautiful deep crimson colors with specks of gold and lavish fruit, colors that remind you of royal tapestries, and over the top banquets. I’ve used black chargers with white plates to keep things moody but not overly dark, long tapered candles add to that elegant royal feel whilst also adding nice height and dimension. Bring in your gold accents with you cutlery and flower vases and small table decorations.

Rosh Hashanah is also the festival of new fruit so incorporating this into your table keeps things whimsical and on theme. Add pomegranates and figs to your tablescape, remember to keep fruit colors in line with your flower scheme, you want to keep things consistent, flowing and elegant. If using green and white flowers, beautiful green apples work great too!
