Creamy Hummus Recipe


Ingredients

Hummus

1 can of goya or Eden Chickpeas drained and rinsed
2-3 small garlic cloves
Juice and zest of 1 lemon
3 tbsp HarBracha Tehinni Paste
1 tsp of cumin or pereg falafel spice
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup ice water
Olive oil to blend

Sauteed Leeks

1 tsp honey
Half Leek, sliced into sticks
1 knob Ginger - diced
Pinch of salt


Preparation

Humus

Step 1: Place chickpeas garlic, lemon zest and juice, tahini salt and falafel spice and salt in a high powered blender - mix to combine.

Step 2: Add ice water and keep blending - this helps break it down and will create a lighter smoother hummus. The more water, the thinner the consistency, Add according to preference.

Step 3: As it blends, drizzle slowly with little olive oil. Let the blender keep going until you reach a velvety creamy consistency. Around 5-10 mins.

Sautéed Leeks

Step 1: In a pan, heat up olive oil, add sliced leek and sauté.

Step 2: Add ginger and salt and sauté for further 5 minutes.

Step 3: Add honey, sauté for 2 minutes until combined.
